A Two Stage Reciprocating Air Compressor compresses air in two steps to achieve higher pressure and better efficiency. In the first stage, air is drawn into a low-pressure cylinder and compressed to an intermediate level. This partially compressed air then passes through an intercooler, where heat is removed before entering the second stage. In the second stage, the air is further compressed to the required high pressure and stored in a receiver tank.
